Pros: Everything about the hotel was beautiful the food the staff are all vwry warm coming smiling and friendly.

Cons: Distance in travelling fees is alot specially using hotel transportation to places such as sheraton street the marina and airport cost around £20 one way which is alot.

Pros: We stayed at Jaz Makadi Star & Spa in July 2025 and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent—staff were always available and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. Special thanks to the manager, Mani, who made booking an extra night easy and stress-free by handling it directly for us. The food was decent, and we especially enjoyed the cocktail dinner on Monday. Both the pool and rooms were spotless and well-maintained. The animation team—Jade, Ahmed, Bebo, and Big Mido—were super friendly and engaging without being pushy. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this hotel!

Luxurious stay

Pros: The staff really go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The room was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped with every luxury including fresh beach towels daily, a mini bar and laundry service. Between the buffets 3x times a day, the pool-side bar and the beach bar there was an incredible variety of foods, snacks, and drinks avaliable at all hours of the day. We also loved the entertainment, the spa and the 1 day free entry to the water park with the best water slides we have ever experienced. The resort grounds are beautifully decorated and well kept and add to the experience.

Cons: The gym was abit outdated and hot but had everything we needed

Pros: We had a pleasant stay thanks to the staff, especially Mr. Mina who was extremely friendly and helped us change our room after we complained about the first room’s view. He stayed with us until we were fully satisfied. Mr. Ali was also very kind, and overall the staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet was excellent.

Cons: However, the hotel itself has several downsides. It's very small, with a tiny pool and very limited activities. Many of the photos shown on Booking.com don't actually belong to this hotel but to other hotels in the Makadi group, which was disappointing. The value for money is quite low - the price suggests a much higher standard than what is actually offered. You can get the same services for a much lower price in other hotels. There was nothing particularly special or memorable about the experience. Additionally, I had several questions before my arrival and contacted the hotel, but unfortunately, I only received a response after I had already r ed in.

Relaxing & enjoyable with 1st class service but overrated and not quite 5 Star.

Pros: Staff extremely attentive/amazing and can't do enough for you (all without expecting a tip)! Food quality in general pretty good with decent variety. Very relaxing/tranquil atmosphere setting. 5 minute walk to nice beach area which facilitates for all hotels in that area. Area is beautiful in its own village setting, feels very safe. Complex well set out and all areas perfectly accessible easily within 1/2 minute walk for all rooms.

Cons: 1. Like the majority of hotels in Egypt, lacking distinctive taste when it comes to European and Asian foods.....eg (no/very little herbs (basil)/garlic/tomato in the lasagne, curry lacking any sort of spice layering or character to distinguish its taste. 2. Rooms quite basic and a little tired in places (cracked tile/s, lack of decor/quality furniture/water damage to doors, to give it its 5-Star rating). 3. No aircon inside at dinner time (evening) until I mentioned it and had it turned on. 4. Only a very small beach allocation for the hotel for seats/sunbathing making it uncomfortable and not private. Limited All Inclusive drinks menu and in room refreshments payable! 5. Poor quality evening entertainment and no stage/limited lighting/effects. Basic for a 5 Star hotel. 6. Spa chargeable (apart from 1st 30 mins) and not available for children. 7. No lift access despite having 3 floors. We were on the 3rd floor with a family of 6 with a pushchair.

Lovely Staff, Top Notch Food, and Lots of Amenities.

Pros: The staff were amazing—very friendly and accommodating. You truly feel like you're visiting family while on vacation. The food was excellent in both variety and taste. Beach is so nice and sandy. A big thank you to all the hotel leaders; you are doing an outstanding job! Spa was also Amazing, although it was a bit pricey but good.

A Truly Welcoming Stay

Pros: This was our second stay at this hotel, and once again, they went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us and remembered us from our previous stay which made us feel truly valued. A special shoutout to Mina from the front office team, who was incredibly friendly and took the time to accommodate some requests that we made. His warm welcome and personal touch made us feel right at home from the start. Also, a big thank you to Mohamed in the restaurant team. His service was impeccable, and he always made sure we had everything we needed during our meals. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor added so much to our experience. The level of care and hospitality from the entire team is what makes this place stand out. It’s rare to find such genuine, thoughtful service where you feel like more than just a guest. We can’t wait to return for our next stay. Highly recommended!
