Nour El Gourna

Pros: Fantastic staff, best location just next to the ticket office and authentic atmosphere! We love the included breakfast and reasonably priced dinners. Our double room was just lovely, felt like an authentic experience. Don't be surprised everything is a little dusty - you are very close to the desert 💁‍♀️ when there was an issue with bathroom it was fixed right away. Definitely recommend that hotel!

Pros: Beautiful quiet family run place just next to all the main monuments on the West Bank. It was an exceptional stay and Mohammed is an exceptional host. Highly recommend!!!

Pros: The food was amazing, the best we had (by far) in 10 days in Egypt. Try all their tajines, both vegetarian and meat-based (kefta especially!!), their falafels and baba ganoush. A special thanks to the kind family who hosted us, and really tried to accomodate all our wishes. We had several short-notice schedule changes and they were very flexible about everything (leaving our bags, eating lunch late, etc.). We would be thrilled to come back !

Cons: The rooms were spacious and clean but you have to be ready for natural, earth-based walls.

Cozy, authentic place

Pros: I am a happy guest since a long time (8 years). Friendly staff, homemade and the most delicious food in Luxor, perfect location (right behind Memnon, Habu temple 5 minutes walk). An authentic experience, cozy, peaceful and recharging with a friendly price. I dearly recommend this place who are looking for the real countryside Egypt experience.

Cons: The room this time was very dusty and the AC was not helping too much either, the air became very heavy, I was coughing by day 3. The the rooms need more maintenance and some more frequent cleaning, included surfaces, so the dust can be kept under control.

Pros: One of the best places to stay on the West Bank of Luxor!

A countryside have

Pros: The food is delicious,and freshly cooked. It is in a countryside setting, the rooms are quiet and we had a room with a balcony overlooking a beautiful garden. The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble. The taxi driver has his taxi at the hotel and the rates are reasonable.

Great place for base to explore Nile left bank and it's archeological riches :)

Pros: Well if your plan is to stay several days on left side of the Nile in order to visit all available archeological sites, this is a perfect base! If you don't have Luxor Pass, you will need to buy all tickets separatly in a ticket office which is on the other side of the road. All locations are relaively close (except Valley of the Kings, but we manage to get there on foot anyway) and accesible by walk, but it's not a problem to call a taxi there (or a random car, for few EGP everyone will agree to give you a short ride). Staff is very nice, attentive and helpful and food is delicious (in addition to brekfast you can also order lunch/dinner here).

Amazing family comfort away from home.

Pros: I loved how friendly the family was. The location was like a little oasis. I loved the old fashion home, the quiet from the bustling of the city and how close things were to important locations. I was able to walk to a lot of it. What a beautiful place, great location. I’d bring my family here anytime.

Cons: The distance from downtown Luxor. But this is exactly what I wanted. So nothing negative.
