Could be cheaper

Pros: Great location, very clean, stuff is very friendly and helpful, they do not cheat. I bought the tour to Abu Simbel with them for a good price. The host Hassan made a cute tour for me around the city

Cons: Don’t be tricked by pictures)) I booked a single room with a big bed, so the bed sinks in the middle so you can sleep only on the edge. Balcony actually is smth you don’t want to use and the glass is too thin so it’s too noise (perhaps this problem is common for all the cheap hotels in Egypt). I stayed for 2 nights and each I was awaken in the middle of the night by outside noises.

Super comfortable place

Pros: Wanees Hostel is s great place to stay. The employees Hassan and Mena are incredibly friendly and help you with everything you need. They even invited me twice to have diner with them. The beds are super comfortable, these were by far the best beds I have ever slept in in a hostel. WiFi is strong, which is quite exceptional in Egypt. And the place is super clean. Location is great; right in the souq with all shops and restaurants at your doorstep. In my bedroom (4 bed female dorm) there was not much noise from the street as this room is not situated at the front. A next time in Aswan I will definitely stay at Wanees Hostel again!

Cons: Perhaps one toilet per floor is a bit small. If it's fully booked, it can become difficult.

Pleasant stay

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The room was nicely designed and clean. It was a bit difficult to find the place but the host sent us clear directions. I highly recommend this place!

Cons: Just a warning that the hostel is on 3rd/4th floor and there is no elevator

Pros: The place is very clean and staff were helpful,i liked the location as it offers easy access to many places

Cons: The floor was Abit high, but it's not a big problem they provide luggage assistance

Pros: The bed was confortable and it was situated in the center of Aswan, next to a lot of places to eat.

Cons: It is just next to a big street so it was really noisy, plan to have earplugs ! The bathroom is shared with quite a lot of people so you may need to wait a little.

Amazing place to stay, highly recommended

Pros: . The staff were more than wonderful — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The place was very clean and well organized, which made the stay really comfortable. They took great care of me and gave me a lot of useful information about Aswan, including historical sites and local attractions. They also organized my trips at good prices and kept following up with me during my stay to make sure everything was perfect. Truly a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

Big great room, helpful stuff!

Pros: Stay in the hostel was great! Menna helped us a lot. She booked a tour for us and tickets for a bus, which made the trip much easier. The room was very big and clean! Locations was great

Pros: Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Wanees - Hassan is a very kind, generous, and helpful person. He shaded tons of useful local recommendations; he's also organizing some social activities and trying to bring the guests together. The hostel is in the heart of the downtown, so be prepared to walk through the local and tourist markets to reach it. It's easy to find, as you'll receive some helpful instructions with the entrance photos. If back in Aswan, I'll definitely consider staying there again. Thanks for the hospitality!

Pros: Of all the hostels I stayed at during my 10-day Egyptian vacation, this was one of only two where I could take a shower in the bathroom, and the only smell I could detect when I brought the pillow close to my nose was the scent of cleanliness. Many thanks to Hassan, the friendly and helpful person, for everything. The location is simply fantastic; as soon as you step outside, you find yourself in the famous market in the city center.
