A gem in the west bank

Pros: The hotel is exactly as described. The entire place is immaculate. The room was big, as the toilet, it had a balcony and the furniture was appropriate, including comfortable matresses. The restaurant has a varied and very tasty menu at a good price. It's just a 6-minute walk to the ferry dock and 2 to the main street to pick up a taxi or tuktuk. The restaurant is in a very beautiful, well-kept garden, the space where you find refuge after the chaos and dust and tiredness of the day.

Cons: This is not about hotel but to acknowledge that the west bank is not as developed as the east bank in Luxor, but most of the sites to visit are in the west, the ferry works 24 hours.

Wonderful place on the west bank

Pros: Absolutely wonderful place. We spent a week here with 2 kids. The garden is beautiful, you take the meals there but you can spend any time of the day relaxing, it's delightful. The staff is great, always available and very respectful and helpful. The family room is spacious and clean, with a balcony. Breakfast is good, with bread, omelet, pancakes and rice pudding. The restaurant is decent and good value, open the whole day. The Luxor west bank has a nice village feel, with many good restaurants around.

Cons: The beds are not very good, mattresses are worn out.

A lovely place to stay to see the sights in Luxor.

Pros: Big Breakfast, in fact too much, but can be altered if you just ask! This is NOT a luxury hotel, as can be seen by the price. I don't want TV, mini bar, etc, just somewhere comfortable and nice to stay and a base to go and see the sights. The restaurant is wonderful. Loads of helpful staff who will bend overbbackwards to help.

The place to book for your visit to Luxor

Pros: The hotel is best positioned to visit Luxor, both East and West banks, staying in a rather peaceful area of the city. It is in the proximity of the ferry and is surrounded by many restaurants and shops, including those renting bikes. The staff has been friendly and available all the time, either to sort out things or just for a nice chat in the garden. The restaurant, as is well-known, is fantastic and the breakfast is very good as well. If you would like to spend some time in Luxor in a friendly and calm environment, this is the place to book.

Cons: Upon arrival there was nobody at the reception and I had to look for the personnel in the garden. That said, their friendly attitude and availability largely made up for this :)

Pros: excellent service and beautiful garden. We very much enjoyed our time there.

A very nice stay

Pros: Nice building and a great garden with friendly cats. Also close to the main street, shops and ATMs. Located in a poor but clean and safe neighborhood. AC was fully operational. WIFI was good. Laid back atmosphere. The older male staff was very polite and professional. Good value for money.

Cons: Some of the younger boys who work there may be a bit too frivolous with female guests. This is a common problem in Luxor not only in this place.

Very pleasant stay at West Bank

Pros: Good breakfast that is served in lovely garden, spacious room, nice walking in the surroundings (nice escape from hectic East Bank). Very good price/quality ratio.

Cons: Nothing.

A lovely hotel in a safe area. Fantastic garden.

Pros: Friendly staff. Amazing location. Fantastic garden. Lively, safe neighborhood. Big, comfortable room. The bathroom has its own boiler and the water pressure is great. We had at least one meal a day at the restaurant: they served delicious food and local beer & wine. I can’t wait to be back at El Fayrouz Hotel!

Cons: The bathroom is basic. Luxor never sleeps. Bring ear plugs.

The boss is really considerate.

Pros: The boss is really considerate. At 4:30 AM, the staff gave us lunch boxes for the early get-up for the hot air balloon ride.
