Pros: The friendly family approach of the staff and having a bar with reasonable prices.
Cons: Had a tired feel about it

Pros: This friendly clean and comfortable hotel was great value for money. The staff (including Ragab, Hamza and Ahmed) went out of their way to help and make me feel welcome; the garden is lovely and the Egyptian breakfasts are great -they really set you up for the day. The restaurant also provided really delicious meals - which you can eat in your room if you like. The WiFi was generally pretty reliable (I had to do my own work while I was there) and the shower always had hit water. Guests are also able to use the swimming pool at the sister hotel El Gezira Gardens. Highly recommended.
Cons: Nothing really. The front entrance looks a little unprepossessing - don't let that put you off!

Comfortable and cozy hotel
Pros: A lovely little place with friendly and accommodating staff, especially Hamza on reception. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location on the West Bank was really handy for seeing key sites (West is Best!). The restaurant on the roof had pretty nice options.
Cons: Breakfast often took a while to prepare (but this is pretty common throughout Egypt).

Excellent stay in Luxor
Pros: The hotel is excellently located in the Luxor West Bank, 5 min from the ferry docks, and it talkes only 15-20 min to reach the Valley of the Kings by car. In addition, it is very close to several attractions like Medinet Habu, Ramesseum, or Deir el-Medina. However, the real standout is the excellent service. All the employees are very kind and nice, they helped us to arrange private drivers to Valley of the Kings and other archeological sites (very punctual and organized, it was a great way to explore the area), as well as pick-up and drop-off at the airport. Hansa did a fantastic job by helping us in all these arrangements, giving advice, and offering assistance. Other standout: the restaurant; their shakshuka was incredible.
Cons: The hotel is perfect. The area is quiet and less busy than East Bank. I personally prefer this calmer environtment, but there are less shops, restaurants and bustle than on the other side of the Nile.

Pros: Hotel on the left bank and I really liked that. Very close to the ferry boat :) Very well-maintained and charming building, with a beautiful garden in front where you have breakfast. Large and comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. Excellent food. I especially thank Ragab for his help and availability. I recommend the place!

Comfy room with amazing garden
Pros: The room was simple and comfortable and the location convenient on the quiet West Bank, close to restaurants and banks. The highlights are the nice garden and the amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Hamzah was a standout, helped us with arranging tours and transportation and did a fantastic job. Breakfast was extremely generous and was served by super friendly Akhmad in the garden.
Cons: Room wasn't cleaned in the 3 nights we stayed.

Comfortable clean stay in Luxor
Pros: We stayed 3 nights here. Hamza made our stay super comfortable, safe and convenient. He is a very hardworking young man, provided us with all facilities we required during our stay say it the choice of room, cleaning, arranging tour, transport and currency exchange. A big thanx from India. The breakfast by Ahmed was the best part of the property. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Even for lunch and dinner moon cafe was so close by, it was a boon. Ferry, bank, atm , local market , cafe, salon, was easily accessible. The terrace is so beautiful, down there is well maintained lush green garden.
Cons: The location can maybe turn your mood off. Its on west bank side, you have to go inside a lane, not appropriate for a hotel. But for girls, its not a safe area as we came across so many strangers who were commenting rubbish stuff while walking that street to reach the hotel. Once you reach hotel, you feel safe. Washroom can be better as the shower area is super tiny even for a single person. There are two properties with similar name. so make sure the location and the name of the property has to be El Gezira hotel and not El Gezira Garden. We were picked late for our hot balloon ride due to name confusion by tour operator.

Great location, very helpful staff, strongly recommended.
Pros: Hamza and his colleagues on reception did a great job of arranging drivers and our very own Egyptologist.
Cons: There was some small scale construction going on, but the affect on our stay was very little.
