Pros: The staff was too hospitable and helpfull. Mahmoud Brother helped us with any issue we had not only limited to our stay but also our whole Egypt vacation. He achieved the impossible many times just for our safety and comfort. When you book this hostel you dont only book a place to stay, you book a family. Keep that in mind.

Pros: Fontana Hostel in Luxor is a wonderful place to stay. The owners, a father and son, are incredibly kind and caring, making us feel truly welcome. The hostel is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Even after check-out, we were allowed to use the hotel facilities until the evening while waiting for our night bus to Cairo, which we really appreciated. We felt comfortable and at home here. Highly recommended.

Pros: The second room we were given was facing the back (less noise) and was a double room with ensuite bathroom. It was good! The hotel is an old fashion hotel which feels magic. Staff including the manager Mahmood are so nice and really did everything to help us and not get scammed around the city. They suggested a great place for dinner (Sofra) and made sure that with our private transfer to Marsa Alam (cheaper than online) everything went well. We had tea with Muhammad and his family. They are so nice! Shukran!!

Cons: The first room facing the noisy street with single glazed windows. But the second room they gave us was what we were looking for. Shukran!

Cons: Wifi terrible/non existant Beds from the last century Feels like there are no walls/doors as every sound reaches the room Super noisy wedding until 2am, partly even in the lobby - I advise to not accept other guests during an event like this as it's impossible to sleep..

Pros: A bath in my bathroom. Central. Very clean. The nice owner can book you great tour for fair price. Very cheap hotel and good hotel.

Cons: Mosque noise, but it is not the hotel's fault. It is pretty much everywhere in egypt, unless you are lucky.

Pros: Friendly welcome staff. Old fashioned style hotel with fairly good location and on quieter road. Balcony rooms. Clean enough. Did an air balloon ride for which staff helped arrange pick up from the hotel.
