Love the garden

Pros: I like the peaceful environment and the garden by River Nile a lot!! Staff are super friendly. Breakfast and coffee are also quite good. You feel very relaxing when staying here. It’s very good value for money.

Cons: I’m so sorry to say that the only downside is the location. It is a bit inconvenient for me as all tour operators asked me to meet up at KFC (East Bank) and to go there from the guesthouse, I would have to go to East Bank by boat and then change to a taxi and vice versa. Of course I can also hire a private boat for the trip and pay 300 EGP. Secondly, I would also appreciate it if the guesthouse could send me instructions as to how to get to their place from the airport. On the map, it looks very straightforward but it’s totally not the case in reality. My taxi driver was very lost when getting close to Maghrabi’s guesthouse and the journey just became so long. In the end, he decided to call the guesthouse for directions and then realised accessing from the west side (last 200 meters) could only be done by a tuktuk. Had I known that, I would have gone to East Bank and then go to the guesthouse by boat.

A special perpective on the Nile and Aswan.

Pros: Although we had booked, there was hesitancy in appreciaiting our arrival, but the room had been prepared. The room - though dark - was comfortable and a good size for suitcases. Food was of decent quality. The view were super and the atmosphere in a Nubian home was special too.

Cons: Reaching the property by small boat from the East Bank in Aswan was made more difficult as no-one knew where this delightful lodging was! (If one can call and be met by someone from the guest house that may be easier - but it is uncertain and involves taking a journey on the east side). Meals were rather slow in preparation. The staff were supportive but getting up the plank and in the boat for return across the water was a problem for us in our late 70s!

Pros: Unique place to stay- combination of huge tree, desert(sandy court) and nile river together. Food was excellent! Staff were friendly.

Authentic nubian-style guesthouse

Pros: Amazing location and great atmosphere next to the Nile river. We loved the views of the river every morning and the many places where you can relax. The rooms were cosy and designed in a traditional and authentic Nubian style, outstanding! The Tombs of the Nobles are just a few minutes of walking away. They also offer a free ferry to Aswan city centre!

Cons: Quality of the food could be improved, we would have loved to have an Egyptian breakfast instead of a western style breakfast.

Pros: Very beautiful and relaxed Nubian guest house right next to the Nile. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, and very responsive online. The room was spacious, clean, and the facilities were very good.

Pros: The best place front off town other side of the nil river whis free boat for go and back anitime in the day

It's amazing place!

Pros: A very clean and beautiful place directly on the Nile. It perfectly combines modern style with a charming rural atmosphere. The rooms & bathroom are extremely clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The breakfast was very good and varied. The property also provides a free boat to take you across to the opposite side, right in front of the Tolip Hotel, at any time. Many thanks to all the staff for their great cooperation.

Cons: Getting to the property by car is a bit difficult, and there are no signs on the road. It’s better to take the property’s boat from the Eagle Dock in front of the Tolip Hotel.

Pros: Great location right on the Nile, very peaceful atmosphere, delicious breakfast - local fresh dates, figs and a good variety of everything else. We were enjoying the stay. The hotel has it's own boat so you can travel the main part of the city with them for free (or use ferry nearby). They also provided us welcome drinks, which were delicious

Pros: Wonderful host, he made full arrangement late in the night from airport as well as early morning boat ride to reach our destination. Food is excellent and thr garden, room was clean and spacious more than any we had so far in Egypt, also airconditioned.
