Peaceful stay on the Nile

Pros: We had a beautiful stay at Asilah guesthouse on the island. The rooms were simple but comfortable and the daily breakfast was great. The island is very quiet and peaceful, and walking around, you get a glimpse of Nubian village life. The boat ride to the island and around was so magical and peaceful, and it was lovely to get a feel for the Nile energy. The owner, Kareem, is such a friendly and helpful guy. He went out of his way to assist us with boat and taxi transport around the island and into Aswan and to see the temple of Philae. We joined Kareem on a trip to Aswan and ate lunch together, and had some great conversations.

Cons: The room had a very powerful fan but no AC- We knew that before booking. The days were super hot- like 39 degrees- even in October, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night with no AC. But if you're comfortable without AC and fan only, then you'll be fine. Also, there were a lot of mosquitoes outside at night, so if you get bitten, then bring some repellent with you.

Nubijska wioska na wyspie w Asuanie.

Pros: Jeśli szukasz nubijskiej wioski z dala od zgiełku to super miejsce. Gospodarz przyjął nas w nocy, przygotował jedzenie. Bardzo sympatyczny.

Cons: Obiekt jest na wyspie więc przygotuj się na taxi i łódkę. Właściciel organizuje transport i cię odbiera na miejscu. Bardzo egzotycznie.

Pros: Excelente cuidado do anfitrião para conosco. Nunca Vi Igual, Nota 10!! Preocupado com nossa chegada e translado do Aeroporto até o quarto, Motorista, Barqueiro, TukTuk, tudo!
