Grand Memphis Hotel in Luxor

Comfortable, clean, friendly, safe - excellent location perfect for train station.

Pros: We booked this room as it was close to the train station, was very affordable, had a private bathroom and basic facilities - it met all of our expectations! The staff were all really friendly and sincere in making sure we had what we needed. They showed us to the room - which was clean, comfortable, and actually quite peaceful despite being above the chaos of the Luxor traffic below. It's only a 10 min walk to the station, and you can actually skip through the back of the winter palace gardens to get onto the river promenade so the location couldn't have been better. I don't recognise alot of the criticisms of other reviewers, our room was spotless and comfortable which is all we needed.

Cons: Realistically, this is a budget hotel for a low cost - so many of the 'downsides' are really the reality of the place. Reviewers shouldn't been complaining about the state of the coffee or whatever, when you're only paying a small fraction to stay here - and for my opinion it is really good value for money.

Pros: The location is really good, as it's very near to the center, railway station and all facilities you need. And the staff were very helpful.

Cons: The place is in renewing phase, so not all the floors were working, so I think after the the renew it would be great place to stay.

Pros: The hotel is nice & the staff were really accommodating. The location is absolutely perfect & no one can complain abut the the price, because you get more than what you pay for, Also, breakfast is included and brought to your room. I’ll certainly stay there again, when I return to Luxor.

Cons: Only the WiFi could be better, but that was the case in all 3 places that I stayed in, for my 2 week stay in Egypt. Other than that, the place is really nice.
