Clean, quiet, great breakfast and lovely locals in the area.

Pros: A beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel in the true heart of the West Bank. Just 10 minutes walk to the ferry and boat crossings. The area is full of locals going about their day - not full of tourists - so expect sandy streets and a few motorbikes buzzing around, not polished infrastructure! Fantastic breakfast and very kind staff. We also organised some drives to local sites and did our washing - both very easy to arrange.

Lovely stay in Louxor

Pros: The staff is very nice, the hotel is amazing with lots of charm, and very clean.

Cons: No shampoo / conditioner for the shower.

Embraced in Luxor

Pros: Friendly curious staff. Responsive to requests. Its worth paying to include breakfast. We had crepes as well as omlettes.

Cons: I was acclimatising ready to join a group. Settling into the cultural differences can be headspinning. The hotel started building work which added to the increased ambient noise. I found the noise difficult to get used to.

Pros: The hotel is well staffed without being overwhelming. Highly responsive to requests. Reception staff Kareem had a good standard of english to manage customers. Excellent seasoning on french fries. Wonderful crepes at breakfast. Good size pool. Views over mango field and mountains. 9

Cons: There is a systemic use of pesticides across Egypt. To keep the fly population down this impacts on pollinators. The charge for late checkout was excessive in comparison to the room rate. $20 for 2 hours. The narrative regarding tips annoyed my companions.

Pros: Good location close to the public ferry to cross the river (10min walk). Beautiful place, it’s enjoyable to be there with the garden, the pool, the restaurant. Comfortable and quiet.

Cons: No WiFi. I forgot something sentimentally valuable for me in the room and they don’t want to give it back to me pretending that it’s not there. I just forgot it on the bed while leaving early in a hurry... Bit sad about this last experience.
