More than we could have hoped for! Exceptional!
Pros: This is not a “Grand Hotel” even less is it a “Grande Hotel”! It is simply, a grand hotel, run by exceptional people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome and special. Congratulations to every one of them! To Ahmed and Cash, Ahmeds super efficient service, and fine cooking skill complements Cash and his imaginative and splendidly prepared food. Zak will attend to your every requirement concerning travel, tours, visits and more with quiet efficiency. Everybody does their job excellently well. The cost of staying at this delightful hotel, on the much preferred ( quieter, cleaner, far more atmospheric) West Bank is little indeed compared with the real sense of satisfaction in meeting some delightful people. The rooms incidentally are spacious, meticulously clean, with large balconies, the air conditioning is efficient, and the food, freshly prepared and grown in Cash’s own gardens, is a treat. Thank you all!
Cons: Really nothing at all, this is a very serious hotel at a really attractive price point. Enjoy it! We most certainly did!

Pros: Absolutely loved the rooftop restaurant. Beautiful views with very fulfilling food. Breakfast was always great, and one evening, we opted for dinner there, and they whipped up food that wasn't on the menu to suit our dietary preferences (the best vegetarian taking of our whole trip, and pasta for our child). The hosts/managers are also extremely welcoming and accommodating, making for a very easy and comfortable stay.
Cons: A little bit tricky to get to by car if you are self-driving, but not a problem if you're being driven to the accommodation.

Great small hotel on the West Bank
Pros: Great small hotel on the West Bank surrounded by banana plantations. The hotel was clean, good food and excellent service. Its position on the West Bank gives you a better feel for the real Egyptian Luxor, ideal for the adventurous traveller.

Great choice in a quiet part of Luxor's west bank, very helpful staff.
Pros: We booked this hotel very last minute, to spend one night in Luxor after arriving by cruise and before continuing to Hurghada. The hotel a few kilometer from the Nile, but it was actually nice to be in a 'normal' area and not in a tourism compound (but the rooftop view to the Nile is stunning!). The hotel offered a free pick-up from our the dock (unsolicited - which was nice). Staff were very helpful in arranging transport for seeing Luxor west bank and east bank sights and to Hurghada (via Dendera), and with arranging a morning balloon trip. Prices were not cheap, but very reasonable compared with some research we had done. With had a fantastic day around Luxor with their driver Jabe (or Jabbe, not sure how to spell his name). Good breakfast too!
Cons: Dinner was a bit underwhelming (but that's probably a hit and miss anyway). Else, all was fine. Great choice for our short stay (but also for a few days in Luxor). Didn't try the swimming pool (as we had no time, and as it was December).

Calm place to stay with a great view of the Nile and mountains
Pros: The view from the rooftop - view of Hatshepsut's temple and the Nile River on the other side. Sunset was amazing. The room was simple and clean. In an isolated area so it is much quiet and away from traffic. The staff were respectful and attentive.
Cons: There was no kettle in the room. There was a dusty one outside the room that I cleaned and used for drinking hot water. The bathroom door did not close from outside. So while staying in the room, the bathroom door was always open. As it is a bit isolated, taxis or uber charge a lot. Still these things are fine and adjustable. I don't mind.

Felt welcomed throughout in this clean budget friendly hotel. Recommended.
Pros: We were collected for free from the train station which saved any hassle getting to the hotel. We had only booked for one night, before a flight the following day, and we found that the staff (and particularly the manager) were very welcoming and very helpful throughout our short stay. When we left the hotel driver was already occupied so rather than have us wait for the driver to return and give us a lift to where we needed to be the manager immediately took us in his own car (many thanks for that super service). We can definitely recommend this hotel despite it being a little off the beaten track.
