Villa Nile House Luxor

Loved it, hope we can go back.

Pros: Beautiful architecture, and great central location on West Bank. Staff were amazing. Great Egyptian breakfasts.

Cons: Beds a little too hard for some, sheets not 100% cotton, can really tell difference in warm climate. Shower did leak quite a bit into bathroom.

Hidden gem next to the river Nile.

Pros: This hotel is rather small (family run, about 10 rooms?) and looks like from a Sheherazade movie. Rooms are spacious. Views from balconies and the rooftop are breathtaking (go in the early morning to see the sunrise and the many hot air balloons). Tasty breakfast served in the morning. There is a pool that you can use and even in their winter month of February I had a pleasant swim. We requested a kettle for our room, staff were happy to help. On request the property manager has cooked a delicious evening meal for us. (payable)

Cons: I had few mosquito bites. Could have done with a net over the bed. My fault as I didn't ask for one.

Great place - to meet people, eat, relax, sleep

Pros: This place has a really nice layout - around a courtyard with a pool, space to eat and take some sun. It's quiet and staff are very friendly.

Pros: This hotel is a very special and interesting place and became an experience in of itself in Luxor. It is very quiet and calm, with beautiful garden, pool and rooms in arabic architecture. All of the staff is very hospitable and friendly, breakfast is typical egyptian with a delicious coffee and even pancakes. It is close to the ferry point so getting here is very easy. The entire area is quite calm unlike the busy East bank.

Cons: Sadly, there is a problem with running water sometimes. As the owner told me, this is a problem on the entire West bank. So maybe something to think to consider that for example in the morning it was not possible to take a shower, only in the evening.

Pros: Perfectly located just next to the public ferry pier and good restaurants and shops. very beautifull courtyard phenomenal value for the money you pay

Cons: rooms are quite pretty but also dated, but with charme

Pros: Staff were generally kind and helpful. Place is relaxing and quiet and very close to the ferry and other amenities.

Cons: Cleanliness could be improved.

Beautiful and relaxing accomodation, look out for harassers along the West Bank

Pros: Beautiful house, picturesque. Great staff. Good breakfast, very relaxing environment. Description and pictures are very accurate.

Cons: Very weird entrance through alleyways, hard to find initially . Room could’ve been cleaner. Warning for mosquitoes would be good.

Lovely Villa stay in a good location, with friendly and helpful staff.

Pros: It was my second visit. I would always recommend it.

Pros: The hotel's aesthetics are pleasing, both in terms of the rooms and the large and numerous common areas, which include two terraces, a swimming pool, and several benches and tables for relaxing, reading in peace, or working.

Cons: We received some directions to get to the hotel from the ferry dock and the position is available on google, but once close to the hotel it can be tricky to individuate the right entrance. A sign would definitely help

A hidden gem

Pros: The hotel, located in the quietest and most authentic part of the city, has a special charm, thanks to its refined and traditional furnishings. The kindness and friendliness of the staff make the stay even more pleasant. Clean rooms and breakfasts prepared with local products make it an unmissable experience!
