Pros: I really appreciated the location which allows you to be quiet in the evening, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast was incredibly good and the view was magnificent.

Great stay

Pros: The host was amazing, and even provided a breakfast for our early departure to abu simbel. Nice rooftop terrace to enjoy the peace on elaphantine island.

Cons: Room was a bit small and no en-suite bathroom

Kosh House in Elephantine island, Aswan....... a must stay.....

Pros: If you want to stay in a very unique place and area, this is it....... with the very short ferry ride across the Nile, its something very different to where you'll have stayed in the past.......host , Gamal and his family are really great people....... and the breakfast in the rooftop in the morning s....... incredible.

Cons: Nothing I can say that I disliked about this place ....... it was a real brilliant experience.....

Pros: If you are looking for an experience living among the locals, this is the ideal place. The owner was helpful in organising trips at a reasonable price and assisted in arranging for the ferry for us early in the morning when we need to go to Abu Simbel.The dinner that we had at the place on the roof top was excellent. The fried fish was especially good.

A very nice stay in Elephantine Island

Pros: Jamal was an incredible host, very kind and attentive. The rooms were in great quality. Through him, we were able to book a lot of local tours (eg: Philae temple, Nubian village) at better prices than those we had found online. His family also makes some great lunch and dinner!

Pros: Jamal was great with us. He came to collect us from the taxi boat, help us with everything and was kind and lovely!

I really appreciated the warm welcome at this clean and comfortable guest house.

Pros: The guest house was very clean and neat and we received a warm welcome. There was a great view from the roof. It was practical and I'm sorry we only stayed a short time as I would have liked to spend more time there and try the food!

Cons: The lock on the bathroom door was extremely stiff - I was a bit worried about getting stuck in there! But everything else was good.

Pros: La habitación era muy cómoda, el hotel tiene una terraza con muy buena vista y la isla es muy tranquila. Y los dueños tienen un restaurant en la orilla del río donde desayunas y estar en el sunset ahi es muy relajante, fuera de la ciudad. Jamal el dueño es muy atento y podes tener buenas charlas con el.

Pros: Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft des Vermieters, ein tolles Fruehstueck, Ruhe und die wunderbare Dachterrasse

Cons: Das Hostel ist vom Faehranleger aus nicht ausgeschildert und damit fuer Leute ohne Internet nicht zu finden. Zumal es auf der Insel (noch) nicht bekannt ist - - ICH habe ungefähr 20 Anwohner fragen müssen, bis ich durch Zufall direkt davor stand. Auch dort ist kein Schild, nur rechts oben die bemalte Fassade.
