Pros: The hosts were very nice and welcoming. We loved watching the view of the sunrise over the nile from the window as well as the feluccas sailing in the evening.

Clean and cosy, a simple home for a few days

Pros: Very clean and comfy accommodation with a view over the Nile towards the busy east bank. Fatima came each morning to prepare a breakfast and we also organised drivers for day trips and our onward journey through the home owner. Recommended if you want a simple, cosy room on the Island.

Pros: Fatima and Ashraf are typical of the great Nubian people known for their honesty and hospitality. The truely make sure you are being cared of in a family environment.

Cons: The kitchen needs some renovations to match the quality of the rest of the house.

Lovely Nubian guesthouse!

Pros: Fátima was a wonderful hostess, her smile at check-in and each morning made us feel so welcome. The room was comfortable, plenty of hot water, and breakfast out on the patio each morning was lovely. Easy to walk to everything on Elephantine Island and close to the ferry stop.

Great Breakfast, hot water, quiet environment. great host

Pros: Great Breakfast, quiet location, great host. this was my second stay. The island is a lot quieter than the east bank, and a lot less hassles. The locals go about their business in a quiet but basic area. Good food in a few of the restaurants and the host makes a great breakfast each day. Omelette, cheese, tomatoes, bread etc. My plane was delayed, so i got there quiet late. The host does not live on site, but was only a phone call away.

Great host and breakfast. hot water, comfy beds and quiet area

Pros: The lady host was very friendly and made a great breakfast each day. the guesthouse overlooked the Nile and you could it on the veranda to have breakfast. the island itself may appear a bit rustic, but the upside is it quiet, good restaurants nearby and only 10 EGP pound return to the east side. The East side is very noisy and not as pleasant so it turned our great. it was also a great relief that the people on the island didn't hassle you constantly like on the East bank/main part of Aswan
