Great experience

Pros: JJ Guesthouse is ideally located a few steps from the south ferry on Elephantine Island. It’s a very quiet and safe neighbourhood. Everyone on the island was very friendly. The felucca sailing with JJ is highly recommended!

An unforgettable stay thanks to an outstanding host!

Pros: JJ was an exceptional host: extremely kind, proactive and always available. He helped us organize multiple day trips during our stay, including Abu Simbel, High Dam, Philae Temple, a felucca ride and a visit to a Nubian Village, making everything smooth and stress-free. The room, although compact, was very well designed with good-quality materials and furniture (comfortable beds, wardrobes, proper windows). Stunning view from the room overlooking the Nile and the Corniche. Breakfast was very good, with variety and fresh options.

Best accommodation we had in Egypt!

Pros: We give it a 10 because we can't give a 12. Everything was perfect, from the extreme kindness of the owners, to the immaculate room and bathroom and the delicious dinner and breakfast prepared by the chef. It was so good that we immediately booked another room for tomorrow night, when we'll be back from Abu Simbel. We are leaving with a huge smile!!! Thank you!

Pros: Everything, from the room to the staff, breakfast and the view. Everything was very clean and organized. I wish we could stay more. One of our best accommodation in Egypt. Super homestay and family run on top of that.

Pros: Mr. Noori is a wonderful person. He helped us for everything from Luxor to Aswan. The stay was more than like a home and he is such a gem of a person. The food, the stay and company everything was wonderful.

The best stay you can have with the best host and staff.

Pros: This property was the best property I have stayed in travelling all over Egypt and JJ was the best host. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have had in Egypt by a long shot and I’ve had some decent ones. The rooms were extremely clean, well kept and very nice in general. The view from the rooms and terrace was beautiful. The ferry from the mainland of Aswan is only 25 EGP so well worth staying on the island where it’s a bit quieter and you don’t get hassled. I would very highly recommend this accommodation.

Cons: Not a problem but just something to be aware of if you stay. Sometimes if you turn the water on in the shower it can come out quite hot so just be a bit careful with that if you have small children. But I’m the sausage that turned the shower on whilst standing under it so it’s my own fault I found that out.

A great place to stay.

Pros: We enjoyed our stay at JJ's guesthouse. It is very clean and comfortable and the location unique in a quite Nubian Village. It's a 5 minute easy walk from the ferry where we were met by a family member who helped us with our bags. Our room overlooked the Nile and was serviced everyday. They even did our washing . Breakfast is served on the rooftop with a great view of the Nile and Aswan across the river. There was a good variety for breakfast we especially enjoyed the fresh eggs. JJ & his staff were exceptional & provide good service. A great place to stay.

Cons: We had trouble with the Wi Fi.
