Nubian Life Nile View

Pros: Everything was very clean. I really enjoyed the quiet since no cars are allowed on the island. My hosts went out of there to ensure my comfort while there.

Cons: I found it a bit deceiving to advertise it as close to some attractions. Yes it is as the crow flies but you first have to get on a ferry and cross the Nile to get there.

Peaceful and enjoyable stay !

Pros: The location is great, on the western side of the island and it is peaceful away from chaos. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. They have rooftop with a nice view of the Nile and the sunset. The host Mustafa is kind and relaxed. We went on a boat ride with him, he showed us all the nice spots to see the birds and a bit of Aswan history. He also organised our trip to Abu Simbel and transfer to Luxor and there were no hidden fees. He has a little shop if you need to buy water or little bits. The guest house was a bit difficult to find but we enjoyed getting lost in Elephantine Island and finding our way back as you can experience the local life and everyone knows Mustafa from Nubian Life Nile View !

A truly special and genuine stay.

Pros: The location is very quiet, with a lovely atmosphere and exceptional hosts. Ahmed went above and beyond to help us recover my husband’s phone, which was lost at the airport. I also lost a small wallet with money—most likely when stepping off the boat—and someone from the village found it and returned it to me, which says so much about the honesty and kindness of the local community. Ahmed’s wife prepared a delicious breakfast for us, Ahmed took us on a beautiful boat trip around the area, and he even arranged a private car to take us to Luxor. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay somewhere truly genuine, local, and welcoming. It was an unforgettable experience

Cons: Everything was perfect 🙏🏻

Pros: Mustafa the host puts a lot of care into the facilities of the accommodation and towards the guests. The room was perfect and the bathroom was large. He has a shop on site. He organised an Abu Simbel trip for me and sailed me to the pick up point and then took care of arranging drop off points for another hotel I'd previously booked. He also showed me around the area and made me feel at home as I was solo travelling.

Cons: Because I didn't have esim or internet I took the public ferry then got a little lost locating place. A random man helped me find it. Better to arrange Mustafa to collect you if your story is like mine. It's actually something I liked; as the village takes care of lost traveller.

Pros: The guest house was so traditional and colourful the husband and wife looked after me amazingly she got up very early to cook me a traditional Egyptian breakfast she was so lovely and kind.

Cons: Nothing i loved to experience the true Nubian life style the accommodation was so quaint.

The owners are so kind and the Nile boat trip

Pros: Mustafa, and his wife, were kindly and take care for us. The Nilo boat trip was incredible. Good point to travel to see Abu Simbel

Best place on the island

Pros: What's not to like, the property is in good condition and set away from the main ferry port. It's very quiet and the owner offers a private shuttle using his own boat, excellent. You can Also take this to the nubian villages further south. The room was great and met our expectations and requirements, the food was good and fresh each and every morning. There is a small shop onsite for snacks and drinks and the prices are more than reasonable. The main plus is the owners, it's run by a family and they are warm and kindz couldn't ask for better hosts. Pro tip ask them for a trip on their sale boat.

Pros: The room was very clean and quiet, with strong air conditioning and fast WiFi — honestly faster than most of the expensive hotels we stayed at in Egypt. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water available at all times. Everything you’d want from a cozy and relaxing place to stay, you can find right here.

Gem 💎

Pros: The location was quiet with a beautiful view of the Nile. Although it was hot there was a lovely breeze that made it more comfortable ...possibly due the open space and location of the hotel. Mustafa and Manaan are very friendly, hospitable and will go out of their way to help. The place was very clean. Mustafa has a boat and he can take you around the various islands and on excursions. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend their place.

Lovely guesthouse

Pros: Even though we arrived late at night, we were welcomed with open arms. Mustafa and his family are truly wonderful; kind, warm, and incredibly hospitable. From the very first moment, we felt at home, embraced by their generosity and kindness. Leaving was heartbreaking; we wished we could have stayed much longer. This place and these people will always have a special place in our hearts. We truly hope to return one day and experience their warmth all over again!
