Pros: Very comfortable and clean rooms and beds. The rooftop where breakfast is served has a lovely and relaxing view to the Nile and opposite bank. They helped us book the transport to visit Abu Simbel.

Cons: There was some construction going on, so there was quite some noise during the day.

Wonderful stay and great Felucca trip!

Pros: Wonderful staff, very helpful. They arranged a Felucca trip for us which was absolutely fantastic. Rooms very good value. Location on the quiet part of the island

Cons: The view was a bit disappointing as there is a new building half in front of the hotel.

Pros: Bakry and his family are very kind. They are genuine, and always available for the guest. Any questions, visit or emergency they are here to help. The mornings and sunsets are great and very peaceful. You can ask Bakry to book any visit for you and it's better that way because he knows reliable people. Don't book felucca or anything on the corniche of the city even if cheaper, you'll regret it. Besides the views are better on the guest house side than on the city side.

Cons: It's a minor detail because everything was great but if I have to say something then I'd say the coffee (nescafe) in the breakfast was not good (maybe too much water).

A wonderful place

Pros: If you are looking for a small family-run guest house in a perfect location, with the most wonderful people - this is the place. We felt like home. Amazingly great breakfast served in the terrace with beautiful view over palms and river Nile. The room was big and superclean, fresh linen, big, thick towels and great beds. The landlord was very welcoming, friendly and humble. When we asked for a felucca, his son took us for a wonderful 2 hrs sailing for a very resonable price. When we had to leave early they made us a package with breakfast. If you visit Aswan, you have to stay at Elephantine Island, it is very easy with the public boat. When you stay at Elephantine you should definitely stay att Sunset Guesthouse, it was the very best 3 night on our 3 weeks in Egypt.

Good stay at bakry’s family guest house

Pros: We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the great value for money offered. The pickup directly from the boat location was very convenient, and the laundry service was a big plus. Bakry and his family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — their special attention and care made our stay easy and stress-free. They were always present, available, and incredibly helpful in organizing our activities, which saved us a lot of hassle and allowed us to simply enjoy our time. All of our activities were well arranged and on time, showing great organization. The bedroom was spacious and very clean, and the breakfast was tasty. Overall, the hospitality and warmth we received made our experience very comfortable. Recommended for anyone looking for both comfort and genuine care during their stay.

Good Experience

Pros: Wonderful Staff and a great breakfast. This is a guest house where you can experience he local culture. The Host is very helpful with assisting one with tour plans,,,has his own boat as well. I certainly recommend!!!

Cons: Although the Host meets you at the dock would be good to have some signs directing to guest house.

Beautiful place!

Pros: I had a really good stay in sunset guest house. Abdallah and his father are really kind. They showed me the place around Elephantine island and made sure I was the most comfortable in any way. I strongly recomend you to eat in their restaurant next to the nile. The views are beautiful, and the place is cosy. they have a lot of traditional dishes and drinks that you can choose as menu and everything is amazingly cook!! You'll enjoy a peaceful meal next to the nile.

Fabulous guest house

Pros: The room was very spacious, clean with very comfortable beds and crisp clean bed sheets. The air-conditioning and fan kept the room as cool as you would like. The bathroom was a good size with as much hot water as you needed and the balcony was a pleasant place to sit as the evening cooled. The breakfast provided was amazing too and there was a nice breeze on the upstairs terrace to sit and eat. Overall this is a great value for money guest house, family run and a great way to support local business.
