Enjoy Nubian tranquility and hospitality
Pros: Mido rents out lovely private rooms in his family’s home on elephantine island. He and his wife Ro were delightful and accommodating and their guest house comes with a delightful outdoor area (shared by two holiday lets) with ever changing views of the busy Nile. Although on an island, Mido’s place is easy to access by two cheap public ferries from Aswan so you are in easy reach of the hustle and bustle of the souk and corniche while able to enjoy the tranquility of the Nubian community of Aswan. Highly recommend.

Pros: We stayed in one of the upstairs rooms, which was comfortable and featured a wonderful terrace overlooking the ever-changing scenery of the Nile. Our hosts Mido and Baky are both genuinely kind and helpful, creating a very welcoming and personal atmosphere. Breakfast is basic but fresh and tasty. We spent three lovely days in Aswan and on Elephantine Island, which offers a wonderfully relaxed pace of life. No cars, hot asphalt or pushy vendors — instead, a peaceful breathing space, one step closer to the real Africa. NB: The public ferry to the island has gender-segregated seating.

Cute place
Pros: Very comfortable room with a nice ceiling fan and air-conditioning. The owner was very helpful in getting me some medications. Nearby restaurant, Kana Kato, has very good food at an excellent price.
Cons: Wifi was very poor.

A super good stay in Aswan
Pros: The staffs are super helpful!! When I arrived at the stay, I was dropped off at the wrong location. Luckily, Baky helped by asking a staff member to pick us up. The boat driver was incredibly helpful as well; he picked us up from the wrong spot in a private boat and even introduced us to various sights along the river. It was so heartwarming to arrive in Aswan! There's no need to worry—you won’t be scammed! Additionally, the view from the stay is absolutely amazing!
Cons: The facilities in the toilet could be improved. While they meet the standard for Egypt, enhancing the amenities, such as offering shampoo and shower gel, would make a significant difference.

Pros: Excellent location, away from the hustle and bustle of Aswan, where you can chill out and relax while enjoying the amazing views. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and kind.

Pros: Loctlation was excellent! Right next to the boat that takes you to the other side of Nile and right next to the mini market. Mido was an excellent host trying to make us feel comfortable anytime. He even gave us his jacket because the next morning we visited Abu Simbel and it was cold (we haven't bring any jacket). Baky was the perfect host . He introduced us to the Elephantine island and gave us a tour (with payment) around the island and to the Nubian village. He also ease our transportation because we couldn't speak Arabic.
Cons: No hot air coming through the air condition but Mido gave us an electric hot source which wasn't perfect but suited our needs.

Pros: Man, I got the reviews mixed up. Anyhow, I've stayed twice, and it's amazing both times, I'm actually still here and haven't left yet...last night tonight 😪 look at the 1st review, which is actually the 2nd stay, duh! 🤣! Another breakfast bites the dust, see pics 😋 👌! 🤣

Just simply WOW 👌
Pros: I usually avoid places that are new but boy, I'm glad I didn't with this place. Just look at the pictures on booking, and they do not do it justice, trust me! Unfortunately, I only made videos 😫 Amazing people, Mido and his 3 lads and wife, Aldo and Hannah also! Stunning views, amazing island... where Jamaica, Africa, and Egypt come together as 1. 1 love! Breakfast delivered on the dot as requested, washing done impeccably. Rooms stunning and spotless! I would give Mido Tag an 11 all day long! You will not be disappointed 😊 I tried to stay longer but it was full, so I booked 2 more nights and went to alexandria for a few days. Review no.2 incoming 🤣 The guys took pictures of us together, so look out for me on booking 😊
