Pros: Very nice and clean accommodation. The rooms were well-maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Great experience overall—we would happily come back!

Kind personal, which is ready to help you out

Pros: The staff was very kind and flexible. Our flight was delayed, so we missed the last ferry to the island. Fortunately, the owners helped us out at no extra charge. They sent a boat to pick us up and take us directly to the guesthouse. It felt good knowing that most people would have charged extra fees.

Pros: Great Host! He supported us with guided tours all around. He made our vacation easy! Big house value for money on Neile! Thank you

Pros: The apartment is really big. Two bedrooms have excellent Nile views. It's a beautiful neighborhood, very quite, good air.

Cons: Egyptian citizens must be married to share the apartment.

A peaceful interlude after the hubbub of the historical sites

Pros: The peace and quiet was a balm to the soul after Cairo. The staff went out of their way to help, a boat arriving at 2am after a delayed journey and again at 4am to start the trip to Abu Simbel. Everything works!

Cons: Being as everyone is going to arrive and leave by boat, a light on the landing steps would be useful.

Spacious apartment on the west side of Elephantine island

Pros: NOBATIA Guest house is located on the western side of Elephantine Island with great views of the Nile. We were picked up at the public ferry and guided to the guest house, with markets and restaurants along the way pointed out. The apartment was spacious, with a big bathroom, a kitchen and a choice of rooms to look out on the Nile from. Nicely decorated and clean. Good value. Very quiet.

Cons: The paths on Elephantine Island are dirt and there are no cars. We had rucksacks so this didn't bother us but we saw someone else struggling to drag a suitcase. There were no top sheets provided (we didn't ask). The mattresses were a little on the soft side for us.

Excellent Stay at Aswan Right Next to River Nile in Elephantine Island

Pros: Amazing Host. Neat and Clean appartment. All utensils available for cooking(although we didn't use). Situated right next to the Nile river in the Elephantine island. Take a ferry (10 EGP per way) opp. KFC (Ferry available 24*7) and walk for another 10 mins to reach the location. Might be a lil difficult with heavy luggage but the stay is worth it. Double bedroom with spacious living room. Both the rooms have a small balcony attached with big windows facing the Nile. Ideal stay in a Nubian village. Excellent wifi and air condition.The hosts are easily reachable via WhatsApp. Helped us in all way possible. Very kind and generous. Would stay again if am in Aswan. I know I have a home there :)

Cons: Improvement: Nice to have, toilet kit(soap or shower gel) on per person basis instead of one soap for all.

Pros: The beautiful view over the Nile. The apartment was clean, pleasent and colored with gentle Nubian motives. WIFI worked perfectly well and so did the kitchen. We enjoyed the stay a lot. The area is interesting, there is local shops and restaurants with great view of Asuan. Mind you: the apartment is far from Asuan itself ( Elephantina island).

Nice apartment stay on elephantine island

Pros: Nice location on elephantine island. Good views of the river at sunset. Friendly family downstairs operate the property. They let us drop our bags early before checking in which was a big help! Hot showers!

Cons: Kettle was broken, but that didn't effect us! The public boat only runs 6am to midnight, so I'f you have an early tour make sure to snap a photo of the boat guys WhatsApp so you can arrange an early ferry off the island!
