Pros: Excellent value accommodation very well situated amid community on Elephantine Island. Next to a handy neighborhood shop, some good restaurants (Bob Marley, King Jamaica) and the ferry across to east bank Aswan. Recommended.

Cons: The wc flush was weak but can be aided by using one of the waste bins as a bucket.

Pros: very nice host and very accomodating. excellent value for money near the ferry

Pros: The host was very kind and helpful. He waited for us at the pier and made us welcome coffee and tea. The apartment is excellent for the price. The toilet flush didn't work properly so we had to refill the water with a bucket. The terrace is unkempt and only has two chairs which is a shame because it has a view and could be nicely decorated. But considering the price, you shouldn't expect too much.

Cons: We did not like the location. We did not like the whole Elephantine Island because of the great dust and dirt. The second night we moved to the coast of Aswan.

Good value for money, whole apartment

Pros: You get the whole apartment, so this is plenty of value for money. One room has a functioning airco (at 28C, but that actually suffices). The shower looks a bit dingy and needs some fixing, but it works and gives warm water. There's a fridge and WiFi is good.

Cons: It's a bit hard to find, I didn't see any sign, and not many people knew where it was. Toilet doesn't flush that well. And the front door can be a struggle. :)

Pros: Great central location on elephantine Island, close to the public ferry. One of the cleanest places we stayed in while travelling through Egypt. Nahla is very responsive and helpful, one of her sons can meet you at the ferry to guide you if needed. Great for travellers on a budget. Be aware that life in egypt isn't the same as in Western countries, things may seem different or scary at first; but looks can be deceiving. We have travelled across most of the world and the people on elephantine Island are certainly some of the friendliest and polite. The small community is peaceful and a great break from the craziness on the mainland.

Cons: The bed was a little hard, but it was clean which was a pleasant change from many other places in egypt

Pros: It was very well located, quiet and cosy. After a horrible experience in Luxor, this was heaven. The owner was very nice and agreed on leaving our bags until our afternoon departure. Excellent.

Pros: This place is perfect for living how Egyptians live with in a small island full of other Egyptians not in the hustle and bustle of the main island this is peaceful quiet with good restaurants nearby and a nice little shop this is perfect if you want to experience a real deal. I would definitely come back The kitchen was well equipped clean with plenty of cutlery the shower bathroom with clean with good running water and plenty of towels. I've never slept so well on a bed in fact so much so that I plan on buying a similar bed when I go home because I slept like a log. If I could give this place a 12 out of 10 I would.

Cons: There's nothing not to like we had a small problem with the heater water and that was fixed very quickly the stuff for very friendly they even come out to help us find the location as it could be better signposted but it is a family home so this is to be expected.

Pros: This cosy apartment is nicely seated on the elephantine island, far away from the loud city of Aswan, very close to the public ferry. The owner was very friendly and even picked us up from the Dock to show us the way. The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay.

Excellent stay in Elephantine Island in Aswan

Pros: Very nice place, two big rooms, a nice living room, air conditioning in one bedroom, so it is ideal for two persons in summertime and very close to the boat dock. Excellent quality-price ratio, very friendly landlord, helping to organize our night trips with the boat outside from the regular operation time. Great value for the money spent, thank you
