Pros: Very good location. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nothing to complain.

Good base for Aswan

Pros: Our standard room set back from the river had pleasant garden views and a restricted vista of the River Nile itself. All the hotel buildings are low level with rooms separated into small blocks. Our room was well appointed with a comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, and chairs both inside the room. Good shower (over bath arrangement) and nice quality toiletries. Cleaning staff were very friendly and maintained very high standards. We look advantage of the excellent complementary sunset cruise (just drinks payable) which lasts for an hour - highly recomended. All the food options are good. Breakfast has a good buffet, perhaps not quite the premium quality we have experienced in some places but good value. There is an Italian Restaurant and a riverfront restaurant, we had meals at both locations and they were both very good.

Superb location which challenges

Pros: I liked my upgrade to room directly on the Nile! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good. It was my 5th stay at the hotel over the past 10 years.

Cons: Except from breakfast buffet the food in the restaurant was uninspired at best. The Italian Restaurant which has been there for more than 20 years still manages to serve so-called Italian food without parmesan cheese. I strongly recommend a total overhaul of hotel restaurant and Italian restaurant with a top chefs evaluation and NOT a multilayer management overhaul. This is about the quality of the food and not management. And talking about management, does the hotel have women in their management? You don't see any... Finally the hotel's beautiful location on the Nile is unfortunately partly spoiled by the many and old diesel fumes from the still more cruise ships, which every morning taxi their position for hours.

Good hotel in an excellent location

Pros: Excellent location in the centre of Aswan. Right on the Nile and close to the souk, restaurants and the ferry to Elephantine island. Pool area was nice to sit around and watch the sunset. Bar terrace also nice. Breakfast was pretty good though limited for vegetarians. We were able to buy bottles of wine to take away from the restaurant which was helpful as we were going on a Dahabiya cruise where they don’t sell alcohol onboard.

Cons: Staff were a bit mixed. A couple were great but others seemed quite disengaged. Lighting in the room wasn’t great. Also wasn’t particularly well maintained but that seems pretty common in Egypt.

Perfect location for Giza necropolis and GEM

Pros: Location was perfect. Views of the pyramids from the rooftop restaurant (breakfast and evening meals). Comfortable room, very large. Plenty of water supplied throughout stay. Reception staff very welcoming. Rooftop restaurant is great for evening meals, and the breakfast falafel is fabulous. I would highly recommend.

Cons: Nothing. All good.

Pros: Near to everything, clean rooms, and after a free upgrade to nile view room, we didn’t feel like stepping out of the hotel.

Could have stayed here much longer. Just perfect!!!!
