Aracan Eatabe Luxor Hotel

Pros: A slightly outdated hotel, which actually gives it a fantastic atmosphere — very different from all the brand-new hotels that look similar to each other. Fantastic views of the Nile, and a location that allows you to walk to Luxor Temple or Karnak Temple. Very close to the museum as well. The transportation service was excellent — I highly recommend it (clean, comfortable cars, English-speaking drivers who don’t try to cheat you).

Cons: The breakfast selection could have been a bit more varied.

Great place to stay in Luxor

Pros: Location - overlooking the Nile, size & comfort of room and facilities

Cons: There was some road noise during the night, but that should be expected as it is in a tourist area

Pros: The best thing about this hotel is the location - very close to the Luxor temple and the ferries to the other bank. The hotel is clean and pleasant, the rooms are spacious enough, but the balconies are tiny - not what I expected from the official pictures. We enjoyed the pool - nice place to relax after the sightseeing. The prices in the hotel's restaurants are quite high.

Cons: The most disappointing thing was breakfast - very bland and without real choice. Coffee was not tasty.

Great Hotel. Good location

Pros: The location was great, walking distance to two museums. The staff were very helpful indeed and helped us with a few issues we had. Restaurant Food was nice and plentiful. Our waiter Sayed was lovely and chatty, couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was spacious and clean we also had a small balcony with a magnificent view of the Nile. I’d really recommend this hotel and personally would return.

Cons: Nothing to complain about at all.

Pros: The lockation, just 5 min walk from Luxor temple and just in front of the Nile River with great view. The personnel was excellent and very helpful. Very clean room. Nice restaurant inside with logical prices.

Cons: Some things needs a little bit of renovation but that doesn't affect your stay there.

Cons: It is an old hotel and at some places such as washrooms, maintenance can be better.

A few glitches but the staff and pool area more than make up for it.

Pros: Despite some major drawbacks (like no wi-fi in the rooms) we loved our stay at Aracan Eatabe. The room was comfortable, the view was great and the staff were brilliant. We also loved the pool area and snack bar and spent at least a few hours there each day. I found it a hotel with a personality that made it greater than the sum of its parts.

Cons: Wi-fi in the rooms is nonexistent. Breakfast wasn’t to my taste. Shower water pressure was poor.

Comfortable stay in a good location with helful and kind staff

Pros: Our stay was pleasant overall. The hotel is well known and its in a strategic location, just a short walk from Luxor Temple. We arrived quite early and had requested an early check-in. Although we were initially told it was unavailable, after about an hour in the lobby, we were given access to our room, which we appreciated. We dined at both restaurants during our stay. The poolside restaurant was very good, with good food and a nice atmosphere. The indoor restaurant, however, was less impressive- the food was acceptable but not particularly memorable. Breakfast offered a variety of options and was generally good, though the coffee and sweets could use improvement. The personnel were very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

Cons: The main issue during our stay was that the internet did not work at all, this was very inconvenient. The safe in the room was not functioning when we arrived, and we had to request maintenance to have it checked. Additionally, the hotel's taxi booking service was significantly overpriced, with airport transfers quoted several times the usual local fare.
