New Saint Catherine Hotel

Great value for money, respectful staff, and a very good overall stay.

Pros: I had a really good stay. The hotel offers great value for money, the staff were very respectful and helpful, and overall everything was comfortable and pleasant.

Cons: The only things missing were a kettle in the room, a small table, and a bathroom floor squeegee. Otherwise everything was fine.

Cons: The Mosque is very close and can wake you in the early hours. This shouldn’t really put anyone off though as there are a lot of mosques around.

We had an excellent stay at Saint Catherine hotel.

Pros: This hotel is at a walkable distance from the luxor temple and 2.5 km from karnak temple. The only drawback is it is situated in a busy market area but was easily accessible and taxis were readily available. Once inside, the whole staff is very helpful and friendly. Cons: The only drawback is that the hotel is located in a busy market area with a lot of noise all night. One night, a huge fight happened outside with a lot of shouting and thud noises from 2:30 am to 4 am disrupting our sleep. Many bikers joined there shouting, though I didn't get up to check what was happening outside. Even otherwise, on all days, a lot of youngsters make huge noise with altered silencers throughout the night. On the second day also, someone was making a lot of noise at around 4-5 am, again troubling us. Our room was on the third floor.

Pros: The location of hotel is close to the Luxor temple. The manager Carlos was nice and helped with managment of exursions.

Cons: The rooms are old. Not always inet in the room.

Pros: Very clean room, good location, good breakfast, close to market. Area itself is a 100% chaos, but we found it very interesting and exciting for its authenticity. Our room was quiet since we asked for the room not facing the street. Breakfast was very good! Overall very good choice for the value, better than our expectations based on the pictures.

Cons: Bathroom facilities are a bit outdated and need better maintenance. But we would not complain for a stay of two nights.

Pros: Good location. Close to the corniche and the temples in Luxor.

Pros: Mr. Carlos offered us several options for free room upgrades. The lunch at the hotel was wonderful, special and inexpensive. The location is beautiful and popular.

When you arrive, you don't need anything from outside. Everything is available in the hotel.

Pros: The staff are excellent. The manager is very helpful and offers many excellent deals on trips.

The hotel's offers for archaeological visits to the city are an opportunity not to be missed.

Pros: The food at the hotel is fresh and delicious and the service is excellent.
