Possibly the best views on the West Bank

Pros: If you are a fan of large, international, corporate hotels then this is not the place for you . If, however, you enjoy small, family owned, hotels with character, and caring staff, then El Mesala is to be recommended. Mr Mohammed and his staff went out of their way to make our stay a success. The location and the view were superb. Any requests were dealt with in a prompt and cheerful manner. There was a good, and varied choice, at breakfast, and the staff were more than happy to make anything not on the buffet. The food is fresh and delicious. The rooms were spotlessly clean with the added bonus of 'towel art'. They are happy to clean the rooms every day, you just need to hand your key to reception.

Cons: The rooms are not huge, but perfectly adequate and the location and view make up tenfold. You have to watch the sparrows don't eat your breakfast before you do!

It was a pleasant stay.

Pros: It was overlooking the Nile. East bank was in view. Really close to ferry. Great location.

Cons: No lifts and restaurant was on top floor. But beautiful views.

Rooms need maintenance but great breakfast

Pros: WEST Bank local feel and directly opposite ferry and boats to cross to the other side. Rooms are ok for the money. Best falafel for breakfast which is taken on the rooftop

Cons: Standards have slipped since this was a Lonely Planer recommendation. Fridge and most of the lights not working.
