Kato Waidi Nubian Resort

Great location and beautiful people

Pros: We spent 2 nights in Kato Waidi which is perfectly located on the Nile next to the touristic boat dock. Also, in the middle of nubia touristic souq (bazar). People were very friendly and helpful. Will visit again.

An oasis of peace and tranquility

Pros: Fantastic location right on the Nile, rooms large, clean and comfortable. We had lunch and breakfast. Lunch included local dishes and was probably one of the best meals i’ve had in Egypt. Staff very helpful, organised trip on the Nile for us. Felt we could really unwind after a hectic week in Cairo and Luxor.

Cons: Difficult to find.

Lovely!

Pros: Kato Waidi is on a lovely location and yet in the centre of the Nubian village. It's quiet, clean and the people are very nice.

Felt like a home from home

Pros: The staff were very hospitable and welcoming. We only stayed one night and but wished we stayed for longer. It is a beautiful part of the world and there it feels like a real sanctuary! Also, the air con was amazing which we did not originally expect!

Pros: The location is ideal ! The food at the restaurant is great and the rooms are absolutely lovely

Would definitely recommend if in Aswan and exploring the area with Hotel provided tours.

Pros: Location was perfect and rooms were really different and felt very roomy due to dome shaped roof

Cons: Should provide more option in lunch and dinner as they had only two option and other in the menu was not available.

Amazing stay and amazing staff!

Pros: The hotel is located in a lovely little Nubian village which has a very authentic feel. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were uniquely decorated and very clean. We were given a traditional Nubian breakfast which was tasty (huge portions). The staff were the nicest and most kind hearted people you will ever meet. Always ready to help with anything we needed including calling a taxi, laundry and their general friendliness. I loved my stay at this hotel. The sunrise views overlooking The Nile are unmatched.

A unique experience in the heart of a Nubian village.Highly recommended!

Pros: The resort was very colourful and in an excellent position on the banks of the Nile. The rooms had efficient air conditioning and were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the evening meal we had was delicious and very good value. There are plenty of lovely outdoor areas for relaxation.

Typical Nubian hotel with nice staff

Pros: The hotel is located in the Nubian village, in front of the Nile with a nice restaurant. The staff was very helpful in organizing transportation for us, they were all welcoming. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean which is a big plus for us. Breakfast was also good.

Cons: We liked evrything

Pros: I stayed with family here for a couple of days. This hotel is located on the shore of nile River. View from the hotel was wonderful, and we enjoyed a lot from the little balcony in our room. As this hotel is located in the nubian village, we got to know more details about them and absolutely they are very lovely people. Their languages (several languages of nubian people), attire, food, and daily life are very distinct from others. Owner of the hotel, Mr. Hameidhi was such a humble and modest person. No boasting or bragging about themselves, though they deserve well to do so 😀 Mr. Mohammed, who is a relative of Mr. Hameidhi has explained about the nubian culture well. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and had a tasty food. Obviously, it is a great option in Aswan.
