An interesting, quirky hotel on the Nile with a good restaurant.
Pros: Quirky little hotel on the river with a nice balcony and a good restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: A strong smell from the bathroom drains spoiled what would have been a very nice stay.

If you want something simpler and authentic then this is the place to stay.
Pros: We had an early checkout to join a tour and the hotel gave us a breakfast box. It was superb and there was enough to keep us going through lunch as well!! From the moment we arrived, the staff were super helpful and charming. They could not have done more for us. The lunch and dinner were excellent, with really generous portions.
Cons: We didn’t expect quite so much noise from the water taxis right by rooms, but they eventually thinned out and by midnight all was quiet.

Pros: Hotel manager Mr. Samir, was very helpful in many ways. EqyptAir were late and our luggage did not make the short connection to Aswan in Cairo. Mr. Samir arranged for a middle of the night pickup of our luggage which was much appreciated.

A colorful village stay with warm hospitality and a breathtaking Nile view that made our time in Aswan unforgettable.
Pros: The refrigerator was properly cold, which was very helpful in Egypt’s climate. All the staff were extremely warm and kind. They even prepared a special bed decoration for us, which made our stay feel very special. They kindly helped us plan and arrange parts of our trip during our stay. Communication via WhatsApp before arrival and throughout our stay was very smooth and reassuring. We also booked the Abu Simbel tour through the hotel. They prepared a breakfast/lunch box for our early departure and even drove us to the shared car meeting point, which we really appreciated. When we told them our schedule in Aswan, they suggested additional ideas to help us make the most of our time. Thanks to their thoughtful advice, we had a truly wonderful experience. There is also a restaurant upstairs — the food was delicious and it was a great place to relax. The view is absolutely stunning, right in front of the Nile River.
Cons: Since the hotel is located along the river, there were quite a few mosquitoes. There were no toothbrushes provided. There were no slippers provided in the room.

Exceptional stay at Dolty Kato
Pros: I really loved this beautiful stay. The Nile view from my balcony is incredible. And the room itself is clean, cozy and designed in Nubian style. The staff were amazing and a special mention to Somaya whose warmth and good energy made me feel at home very quickly. And of course the manager Samir who was supportive in organising tours and making suggestions to improve my stay. The house dining was so tasty! The restaurant food was delicious, I was there for a few nights and ate in every night. Aswan was one of the biggest highlights of my trip to Egypt. And it was made all the better because of the team at Dolty Kato.
