Pros: A family run cafe restaurant with home cooked tray food and drinks. The bedroom was comfortable and spacious. It was right next to the Habu temple. The cafe is colourful with great rustic furniture.

Cons: Nothing, I loved it all.

Nice surprise

Pros: We stayed here as a family group of three and found this accomodation excellent. The location is ideal. Very close to the ticket office and directly opposite one of the main sites. This is important as it allows flexibility in buying tickets thereby saving money or making best use of travelling time. The flat/house is decorated to a very good standard with beautiful tiles in the bathroom and comfortable beds and has lots of traditional character. The hosts are locals and can provide all your needs through contacts like drivers (this is essential as the sites are very far apart), activities like hot air ballooning aswell as meals at a fair price. We tried many dishes on the menu as we stayed for a few days and they were all good and had a lovely home made taste. The hosts are friendly and were very helpful in giving advice. We are pleased to recommend them.

Pros: Everything! Our home in Luxor, no question. I rate 10 because I cannot give more. On the West Bank. The location is really in front of Habu Temple (10 meters!), and at a walking distances from Queens' Tombs, Nobles' Tombs, Deir El Medina with Workers and Artisans' Tombs, Ramesseum, Memnons' Statues. But, the most important: here you feel like at home, you are in a family. They TAKE CARE of the guest. Also the breakfasts are incredibles, the food at Maratonga Restaurant is so good! Ok wifi. Bathroom with separated shower (who was in Egypt can understand). We will come back again, no doubt. To reach the Homestay from East Bank (where are train and Go Bus stations): short walk until the pier of the public ferry boat, ferry (10egp) every 10-15 minutes, collective minibus (5egp, ask for \

Relaxing and a slice of local life.

Pros: Masria and her family were very welcoming and helpful. It was nice to be the only guests and to relax a bit. It was especially nice to be able to have a “meal like home” when we asked. It is the small things that really enhance your experience in new places.

Cons: Stairs to the flat are steep/short. Not an issue for us, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with limited mobility.

Pros: La familia que lleva el alojamiento es muy simpática y cercana, amante de los animales, nos dió una cálida bienvenida y despedida, Aunque nuestro inglés es muy limitado tuvieron paciencia en comunicarse con nosotros. Habitación espaciosa, con mantas extra y calefactor eléctrico. Detalles como chocolatinas y botellas de agua gratis. El baño está genial, con ducha separada del inodoro, con agua caliente con buena presión. Había cuchillas de afeitar, compresas, jabón para la ropa... Lugar con mucha privacidad, con terraza privada desde la que se ven volar los globos por la mañana. Muy buen desayuno incluido en el precio. Comida rica, elaborada y abundante. Buena ubicación, en frente del templo Medinet Habu, cerca de las taquillas y de lugares como Deir el medina, valle de los nobles,... Te informan sobre que ver en la zona y pueden ayudarte a organizar excursiones, conseguir transportes y actividades.

Cons: La información de pago en Booking indicaba que se pagaba el 50% por adelantado y el 50% restante a la llegada. Cuando llegamos solicitaron el 100% del pago a la llegada en euros en efectivo. No disponíamos de toda la cantidad en efectivo ya que contábamos con que la mitad ya se había adelantado. Pagamos la mitad con euros en efectivo y con tarjeta el resto, a lo que añadió 10€ de más del precio total, alegando que booking le cobraba comisión. Aunque te ayudan a organizar todo tipo de tours y actividades, los precios son exageradamente excesivos. No había ni gel de baño ni champú. La cama es bastante incómoda y los perros callejeros del exterior te despiertan ladrando por la noche.

Génial

Pros: La gentillesse de l'hôte accompagné de sa fiille, l'accueil chaleureux et les conseils avvec beaucoup de courtoisie. Aussi, le lieu, idéal pour visiter le temple de Ramses 3 juste en face à quelques mètres de l'entrée, à 15 mnns en taxi. Ils vous recommanderont et conseilleront en français, allemand et anglais pour aller à la vallée des Rois. Top! Un bon petit déjeuner typique dès 6h pour les lèves tôt (ouuverture des sites jusqu'à 16h) et un dîner restaurant à la carte pour déguster les mets égyptiens...cuisine maison. Le prix enfin, on est rassuré et c'est plus que honnête! 'N'hésitez pas à poser des questions sur l'histoire de l'Egypte ! Je recommande très fortement ce lieu, vu sur le et pour quelques jours. Prendre le temps de visiter tranquillement les tombeaux et les Temples de Louxor et Karnak un peu plus loin mais ce n'est pas plus mal car on est au calme près de Ramses 3.. En famille ou en couple vous serez bien accueilli

Cons: Ne vous attendez pas à un hôtel 4 étoiles. Chambre simple pour lire et dormir à l'abri du bruit.
