Quiet Gate Guest House

Pros: The environment here is very nice and quiet, with beautiful scenery. Away from the main road, there's little noise. The staff are also very friendly, inviting us to lunch, even though we'd already eaten. Looking forward to seeing you again!

Pros: Abdul is lovely host and will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and organise trip and tours at a reasonable price. The property is gorgeous and has gorgeous view of the balloons and valley of kings. Very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

A wonderful family guesthouse

Pros: I had a very peaceful stay with incredible views from the roof terrace and easy access to the sites. The family were welcoming and helpful and the home cooked breakfast and generous evening meal were both local and delicious. The place was clean, the beds comfortable and the WiFi was good. Thank you to all the family for your kind hospitality

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it. The owner is very kind and takes care of everything. The food is delicious; we ate there every day. The location is perfect for visiting the kings valley and other attractions. The drivers are courteous and very friendly. It was wonderful to be here, thank you for everything! We hope to return.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the Quiet Gate Guesthouse. The rooftop terrace is absolutely fantastic! Having breakfast up there while watching the hot-air balloons come down in the morning is such a beautiful way to start the day. You even get a lovely view of the Temple of Hatshepsut. The location is perfect: very close to the Valley of the Kings, making it easy to get there, and there are several places to eat just around the corner. The staff were incredibly kind and caring. They really look after their guests, always available when you need something, yet never intrusive. Breakfast was also delicious.

Pros: The guest house is very calm on the West bank of louxor, very sympathic hosts, very good meals and good tours as fellucas with Mahmoud. Pleasant stay, with great view on the rooftop

Pros: Mahmoud and his family were an exceptional host. He profides guiding services and offers the most competitive prices in Luxor for all touristic activities. Dare to pass the gate, you will experience a blink of the deep and real egyptian inner culture and traditional cuisine. A peaceful place to relax from the hectic, spinning and harassing Luxor. A touch of eternity on the rooftop with an impregnable and breathtaking view on « The King’s Valley ». Of course, it’s not a 5* hotel, but it’s by far a much more insightful and meaningful human experience that what most of the luxury mass touristic industry has to offer.

Pros: Mahmoud and brother were amazing and very very hospitable. We enjoyed a delicious dinner with an array of food and a very good breakfast in the morning. Mahmoud was very kind and went above and beyond for us. The views are absolutely stunning and I suggest waking up early in the morning to view the hot air balloons over the valley of the kings. Mahmoud kindly let us check out late as we had a flight to catch, I would highly recommend staying here. Room and facilities very neat and tidy. Pool was amazing to enjoy on a hot day. 100/100.
