House of Dreams apartments Luxor

Pros: Good location, great apartment with good facilities, nice roof top area to sit and chill, alert from noise at night enjoyed my stay here

Cons: Ground floor apartment is very noisy at night, vehicles speeding along road revving engines and beeping horns, kids screaming and shouting outside of window until midnight

Pros: Place was clean and tidy, communication with the staff was good.

Cons: The road that leads to the location on the bank of the Nile is unpaved and taxi drivers don't want to pick you up from the address or ask for more money. The road just outside the property is very noise at night. There are kids making noise and very loud scooters and motorbikes.

Pros: Nice spacious apartment with all facilities including kitchen. Check-in and checkout very smooth. Easily access to both East and West Bank.

Pros: Great location, and Mo Ali was very friendly and helpful! Nice to be able to cook a little and do some washing after a while travelling around Egypt. Lovely to sit out on the balconey under the sun, looking down the street to the Nile!

Cons: Bed was a little hard for my taste, and the lighting is quite harsh - a few lamps would really improve the ambience! I also found the wifi a little patchy - good in some spots, nonexistent in others (and this despite the fact there were two available). Best wifi was out in the garden strangely.

Pros: Ali is an outstanding person, super helpful and so cordial and polite!!

Pros: Quiet location for Egypt and Luxor in a small side street just off the Nile river on the West bank. Boats to cross the river nearby. One of 3 good sized apartments. Delightful rear garden. Very responsive host -Sari. Washing machine AND powder. Terrific fridge.

Cons: TV not working when we arrived. Someone had smoked cigarettes in the second bedroom. Shower floor leaks badly into bathroom. Very noisy washing machine. No kitchen sponge/cloth or brush for washing dishes - only a metal scrubber that has ruined the large saucepan/pot. Insufficient frypans. Large bed had no mattress protector but did have a too small cheap synthetic sheet that looked home made and slipped off the bed each night until we eventually asked for a correct sized sheet. A slightly better one was delivered by the manager who was not happy about our requests. We were guests there for many days.

Pros: Great staff, great facilities, I would highly recommend.

Spacious and great feel!

Pros: Was such a luxury to have a whole apartment with a washing machine and ability to easily sun dry our clothes. Great grocery store nearby run by a lovely fellow and Nile Freedom next to the market has fabulous food. Quiet, local area. Spacious apartment with good energy/feel. Make sure you ask to do the sunset Feluca sail with Muktar, he is so lovely and he takes you out on his grandfather’s boat - one of the best things we did in Egypt - so relaxing and fun.

Cons: Hard for taxis etc to find.

Pros: Exceptional care of Mohammed. He provided fantastic tips. To recommend!

Pros: Absolutely amazing stay! * Very kind owner Sari and manager Mohamed. They made us feel super comfortable, helped us organize our trip to Valley of the Kings for a very reasonable price (and the quality of the guide Ahmed was really exceptional)! * Most rooms in the property have a very nice balcony with excellent view of the Luxor balloons and the mountains over Valley of Kings. * The rooftop terrace is amazing and a great addition especially in the evening, when it gets a bit colder. * The western shore of Nile river is calmer and better placed to visit the key highlights, like Valley of Kings, Valley of queens and Temple of Hatshepsut. * In general, we truly felt like we found our new home in Luxor.

Cons: The kitchen could have been equipped a little better, but it was nothing that prevented us from using it, overall, the kitchen was very nice and easy to use - so really, no big deal. Overall, the whole stay was an amazing value for money.
