Ahmed's House

Pros: On the positive side, the rooms were very spacious, there were two terraces, and the location was exceptional, with stunning views over the Valley of the Kings and Queens and hot air balloons passing overhead. Breakfast was good, and the price was very reasonable.

Cons: The main downside was the host’s behavior. He made several “joking” comments that felt sexist and uncomfortable, including remarks about leaving my partner in Egypt or suggesting I shouldn’t be his manager. These comments were inappropriate and affected my comfort during the stay.

Peaceful rural life in the shadow of history

Pros: We had a wonderful time at Ahmed's house, away from the hustle and bustle of Luxor, just below the Valley of the Queens. Ahmed welcomed us with tea and showed us around his family and the area. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into their lives! He and his son were always helpful, helping us book a hot air balloon ride at a good price (even when it was cancelled due to bad weather), a transfer to Aswan and taking us to the best local shops and restaurants, and were always available to help us out if we wanted to go somewhere and take care of us. We really enjoyed their hospitality and hope to come back again! The apartment is well equipped, pleasantly cool and the breakfast was simple but wonderful.

Pros: We stayed at this lovely house in Luxor and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a bit isolated, but that’s exactly what makes it special, peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. Ahmad and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They made us feel at home, not only that, Ahmad drove us everywhere we needed to go in his car and gave us tips on the places we should visit. It felt more like staying with family than just booking a place. If you’re looking for a calm spot with real hospitality, this is the one.

Pros: owners were very welcoming and friendly, the room was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. it was very close to the valley of the kings and the nile so we didn’t have to travel far. we had a really good stay here highly recommended!

Beat stay in Egypt

Pros: This was the best stay in Egypt - if I could give it 100 stars I would. The whole neighborhood will welcome you with open arms - you will be staying in a lovely apartment overlooking the Valley of the queens - every morning dozens of hot air balloons fill the sky and some are so close that you can even talk to the riders! Its walking distance to Habu temple and the restaurants nearby. Ahmed also organised us to fly in the balloons for a great price! He is also an awesome driver with an immaculate vehicle if you need a driver for a longer trip - (HURHGADA, ASWAN, anywhere!). Cant say enough great things about our stay and I know 100% that we will return.

Cons: This place was perfect.

Pros: Calm suroundings, very warm welcome, all necesary equipment even in the kitchen, friendly kids who played fotball with ours on the street, good dinner - a really nice surprise and more then wort the price. Thank you for the unforgetable stay!

Cons: Only the matress is a bit too soft if you have back problems, all the rest is great.
