Pros: It was such a great stay that I extended it. The location on West Bank is perfect for exploring the temples and experiencing local Egyptian life. The apartment was very spacious and excellent value for money. A good breakfast was served every morning. Thank you so much for your hospitality!!!

Totally worth the price if you’re looking to tour the West Bank!

Pros: I pretty much loved everything about Memnoun house, from the hosts to the flat. Their hospitality is impeccable ! Thank you Badawy, Mehmoud, Ahmad ;)

Cons: Not the biggest of issues but I felt like the flat was a bit dusty, probably due to the sandy environment of Luxor.

Pros: Memnoun house was a wonderful stay. Very quiet and authentic area away from the hustle. The building itself it stunning, very clean and tidy and beautiful interior. The room i stayed in was huge with living room and kitchen area. The breakfast was amazing, served to you at your time of choice. Omelette, refried-beans, cheese cucumber, tomotoes, falafel water/coffee. Can’t fault anything with the place. Shout out to Mahmoud who was a very nice guy. Privilege to meet. Helped with everything and pick up from ferry and to see all the sights within West bank. A very kind man. Even took me to his farm which was a humbling experience. For the price, it is an amazing place. Perhaps 15 minute walk to central west bank which is doable. Very nice restaurant just outside too. Recommend if you want to get away from the busyness of the centre and close to all the tourist attractions.

Cons: no mirror in the room the bed and the pillow were not very comfortable its a bit hidden inside the west bank, so for a solo woman im not sure if its safe

Quiet and relaxing stay, absolutely enjoyed my stay

Pros: There are not many rooms for the guests and the guesthouse is located in the West bank, so it was always quiet during my stay. If your privacy is important, this place should be good for you. The floor was quite clean as they clean the whole place every day. Also the breakfast on the rooftop was amazing (plus if you are lucky, you can see hot air balloons taking off). Last but not least, I appreciate the host’s hospitality and on arrival Badawy has given me some valuable tips on what to do and what not to do during my trip in Egypt as there are a lot of locals trying to scam foreign tourists.

Cons: A few small things - There were no shampoo or soap so you need to bring them with you - No towel hanger in the shower which was a big inconvenient - Wifi was not available on the rooftop, having an extender or repeater would help. - Not about the guesthouse itself, but it is a bit far from the ferry terminal (15-20 mins on foot) and it is dusty on the way as a lot of buildings are under construction and the road is unpaved. If you hire a taxi (which is not expensive) this shouldn’t be an issue, though

Pros: The breakfast was exceptional, there was a lot of food and it was prepared and presented well. I took a picture of the breakfast, see below. The owner is good natured and honest. ...something exceptional for Egypt.
