House of Hathor

Pros: We enjoyed the cute and small surrounding village and quiet environment with a stunning view of Nile river. The rooms were very clean and spacious and had all the necessary equipment and amenities. The ground staff were also very helpful. The host, Danielle was very helpful for all the questions I had before the trip and she arranged a tour for us. The guide Mohamed was also very helpful and flexible to meet our needs every day and tried to make sure we were happy with the service!

Pros: If you want to have a great vacation, come here. Excellent service. Mahmoud, who accompanies you, will show you all the sights and will be in constant contact with you. This is the kind of hotel where expectation and reality match.

Great stay, thanks to the host

Pros: We have been four days in House of Hathor with a group of five. During our trip, we had great assistance of our host Mohamed. He made sure we were picked up at the hotel we were staying the night before and he put together a whole program for us. From a balloon trip to visiting the temples of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, Mohamed made sure everything was ready, from transport to the the locations, lunch and even dinner at the villa. He also invited us in his home for a lunch and when we travelled to Hurghada, we had a last drink in a cafe in Hurghada. We had a very pleasant time in the villa, and we were very happy with our host.

Beautiful villa in rural village outside Luxor

Pros: House of Hathor is a beautiful villa located in a small village around 20-25 minutes outside of Luxor, right by the Nile. The views and the garden are amazing. Staff were both accomodating and friendly. The location also offers good insight into rural village life around Luxor. We had a great stay and would love to return..

Cons: The location was beautiful and we had a great stay but we were a little more reliant on pre-arranged transport, meals and activities than we had imagined, which made it less easy to be spontaneous and flexible.

Pros: great large house, well decorated, fully equipped, beautiful garden and 2 swimming pools, awesome views over the Nile; extra for us was the excellent service from the team esp Ramadan and Saber who were extremely kind and helpful in the house, serving us tea, dinner and even helping with laundry, and they took us on a tuctuc ride with the family. Host is very responsive and the advice from Mohammed who manages was very good as we planned our visits the next day

Cons: only wished we had spent more than 2 nights there!

Best stay & best team in Luxor

Pros: Everything! reality is even better than photos.. starting from the initial contact with Danielle was super smooth and easy, then Mohamed and his team did a wonderful job in making our holidays unforgettable ! We were 3 families with kids of different ages , in total 14 person.. based on our request (with very fair additional cost) Mohamed planned a full program for us for 2 days including bus transportation , amazing tour guide, wonderful boat dinner by sunset , meals .. and more! We couldn't dream of better experience!

Pros: The villa is clean and neat with nice decoration. The location in the magnificent Egyptian country, however it is well eqiuped and near to Luxor. The staff is helpful esp. Mr Mohamed who will make sure that you will enjoy your stay there.

Cons: I liked everything there and I will come back. The only thing to mention is that the pool water is cold in winter and it would be better if there is a warmer for it.

great and peaceful place to stay if you are visiting Luxor

Pros: the house and property is amazing very well looked after and very clean the pool is great for a swim after seeing the temples all day and is a good way to wind down at the end of the day, definitely the best place we have stayed at on our trip as we have been travelling Europe for 2 weeks before coming here. Mohamed is the best such a nice and genuine person he also helped with all the tours and activity planning and made everything go so smoothly, if you want to book tours definitely book them through Mohamed rather then other booking companies you will see so much more and save money, we all had a great time and wish we had got to spend a few more days here as it is so relaxing and away from all the tourist and traffic areas.
