Good value for money, friendly vibes, recommend

Pros: -friendly and helpful host -the property can arrange for different activities and facilities (biking, hot air ballon, etc) -spacious room -friendly vibe and nice garden -it was quite clean

Cons: -the location is a bit further away from ferry or the attractions and it is close by a mosque so the call to prayer at around 3-5am can wake people up. Bring earplugs. The street in front is not paved. -bed mattress isn’t the best

Pros: The place is spectacular. Directly in front of the Nile river on the west bank It offered a slower and more relaxed pace than the east bank. The Host Ahmed was nothing short of the beauty and calm his place offered. Very kind and generous as well as mindful. He was great at facilitating activities as well as making one feel right at home. A wonderful place to experience.

Pros: Hello everyone 😉 in Last year i went in 25 country, and i been in many good , and also many bad places. This Camp ist very uniq and they have very calm atmosphere. This place is definitly my new place , when i will come back to Luxor. I really recommend this place

Pros: Quieter part of town away from hasslers was ideal. Ahmed was great craic.

Cons: Light in the room was very harsh but that's all.

Pros: The environment and the personnel is amazing. Please stay here if you want to go to kings valley or anything on the west side of Luxor

Great backpacker chill spot

Pros: Al Salam camp is a beautiful little place, with nice artworks on the walls, comfortable outdoor seats to socialise and lots of plants around. We spent many nights having great conversations with the owner Ahmed, and I think staying here helped me learn more about the real egypt. Ahmed also helps with organising any activities or transportation that you need and for a fair price. Theres a small market next door as well with nice men that charge egyptian price. Theres also a restaurant next door with good egyptian food for around 150LE. Ahmed can provide a good breakfast in the morning for 100LE Al Salam camp is out of town a bit but not too far that its annoying, just enough that you can walk into a field around the corner and watch the sunset in private over the nile. My room had hot water and a fan, overall great value.

Cons: Keep in mind, booking.com says the double room has two double beds, but it is actually just one. I came with my friend and Ahmed just changed us to the room with two separate beds for the same price.

Pros: Wonderful stay at Al Salam camp. Ahmed was so nice and helpful, we had super interesting conversations together, he organised a tour with guide and driver for me, and when I got scammed by an alabaster shop he asked the driver to take me back to the shop in order for me to get my money back ! 100% recommended

We had a wonderful time at Al Salam!

Pros: Ahmed, the host, is a really awesome person, very chill and one of the most honest people we have met in Egypt so far. He could provide us with good tips and likes to talk with his guests. His son is really hard working and keeps everything clean. The yard is really beautiful and feels like an oasis. It’s great to meet likeminded travelers. We would love to come back some day, we really had a wonderful stay at Al Salam Camp!
