Pros: Sabah and Mustafa welcomed me warmly, like family. The guesthouse is easy to find from the ferry. Mustafa was already waiting for me, as I was running late. My room on the roof was spacious and had a private bathroom. I was welcome to use the kitchen, which provided coffee and tea, free of charge. The terrace offers a magnificent view of the Nile, the Botanical Garden, and the Aga Khan Mausoleum. A laundry service is also available. Everything was spotlessly clean. Sabah cooks delicious, authentic dishes for dinner. I fell in love with this wonderfully peaceful place. Thank you so much, Sabah and Mustafa, for your incredible hospitality!

Pros: The host was incredibly welcoming! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time and only stayed for three nights, but it was easily the best time I had in Aswan. We had great conversations with the host and a lovely German lady about so many different cultural aspects. If I get the chance, I will definitely stay here again. The room was also very clean and quiet. Plus, the place has a huge rooftop, a clean kitchen, and the riverside is just beautiful.

A place to arrive, relax, and definitely return to. Highly recommended
Pros: We had an amazing time at Sabah’s place. The accommodation is beautiful and very clean – you feel comfortable from the first moment. A real highlight is the rooftop terrace: from up there you can look straight onto the Nile, watch the boats passing by, and enjoy a panorama that honestly feels like a sightseeing spot of its own. Sabah herself is incredibly kind, caring, and always checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. She was also very flexible with our arrival and departure times and adapted to our schedule – that made everything so easy. On top of that, she helped us organise tours, which was super helpful and smooth thanks to her local knowledge.
Cons: The breakfast was nice, however, neither Nubian or Egyptian. A local style breakfast would have been amazing. However, this is me, maybe other guests prefer non-local breakfast.

Pros: Reagan House is a perfect place to relax from the city life in Aswan. In general Elephantine Island is a good place if you search a peaceful surrounding. The owner was super nice and helpful and can make tasty dinner. We especially loved the Nile view from the terrace. Room was super clean and bed very comfortable. We can definitely recommend to stay there.
Cons: The only thing we didn’t like was the open shower, as everything else in the bathroom gets wet. Would be nice to have a floor squeegee. But pressure and temperature are very good :)

Au calme après l agitation de la ville
Pros: La vue est extraordinaire depuis la terrasse. Nous y avons pris nos petits déjeuners et quelques piqe nique au calme. Bien appréciable après l agitation de la ville. L île Elephantine permet de se reposer. Notre hôte est adorable.
Cons: Certains pourront etre gené par la douche a proximité immédiate des WC et la literie particulièrement ferme.
