Adam and Eve House

Pros: The real magic of Adam & Eve isn't just the view; it’s Yousuf and his wonderful family. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with such genuine warmth and kindness. Yousuf is a legendary host who goes above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect, whether it was arranging tours or just sharing a tea. Staying here feels like being welcomed into a local home rather than just a hotel. A truly authentic Egyptian experience!

Authentic stay in Luxor with an Egyptian family

Pros: Staying with Yusuf and his his family felt more like we were staying at home. While we had some of the best conversations over tea a few times a day, the hosts are always available at the stay or even via WhatsApp. Yusuf helped us with our entire stay, site seeing and experiences at Luxor which was convenient yet a relief from the need to explore and negotiate. The family has their own Felucca and boat so being on it again felt like we were in a friend's feluca. We also did the hot air balloon and again thanks to Yusuf, it was all arranged for, all we needed to do was pay. Our stay was located walking distance from the Nile, resturants and supermarkets. Nothing fancy but truly authentic.

Cons: Loved it!

West Bank is the Best Bank

Pros: Yusif and his family were the best hosts I could ever ask for, kind, caring, honest and such great company, he offered his help whenever we needed it, and we needed it a lot. We made a mistake not booking our tours and sight seeing with him, and not staying longer in Luxor. Don’t be like us! About the flat itself, it was clean, tidy, offered all general appliances, the bed was comfortable and has a pretty stable wifi connection. About the West Bank, more of a local experience I really enjoyed a lot more than the busy streets of Luxors East Bank, beautiful views of the countryside from the balcony too.

Pros: Great stay!Jusef and his family are very friendly. The location is nice and the apartment comfortable. I recommend it.

Pros: Yuseff the owner of the property is a very kind and pleasant person to talk to. My friend and I lived on the 2nd floor on the west side of the villa. from the roof there is a beautiful view in the morning of the mountains and rising balls. Yuseff helped us with a trip to all the interesting places on the western bank of the Nile. it was unforgettable. but the strongest impressions remained about the flight in a hot air balloon.

I felt so welcomed and accepted into the family.

Pros: The friendship offered and the intelligent humour. It makes all the difference. The whole family embraced me and made the five days I stayed so memorable. I had a great time and will come back.

Good relaxed stay at the west bank (barely any internet)

Pros: Spacious and very clean apartment. Enough pots and plates in the kitchen to prepare small meals. As we were on the ground floor, we could seat and eat in the backyard.

Cons: Non-functioning internet! There is no kitchen essentials like salt, oil, dish soap etc. so please be prepared. There is a supermarket at 6min walk where you can buy everything.

Pros: So helpful ja friendly host! The place was so beautiful and the food was delicious. Everything was just perfect!

Good place on Luxor West Bank

Pros: This is a budget place and the facilities are basic. The host makes up for all inconveniences. The location is hard to find for taxi (I do not know why, as it shows on the Google Maps, so I had to guide them where to go) and there is no sign outside. It is walking distance from Ferry across Nile. Terrace is fantastic. The host is great, can help you with everything, yet despite all the friendliness be sure to agree on the price beforehand, not to be disappointed. He can help you get local beer, yes there is legal and local alcohol in Egypt. On tip for travellers - Use InDrive app for taxis, user friendly, effective and cheap.

Cons: No sign on the outside. Plumbing was not working, yet the owner was trying to react quickly.

A spacious, comfortable apartment in a good location with a friendly, helpful owner and family.

Pros: Apartment is in a good location, not far from the Market, Fellucas, Taxis, Ferry etc but on a back street so not so hectic. The owner and family are very friendly and welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble for them. As there are three separate apartments, with one being developed on the roof, you can be in your apartment and not feel you are in a large multi room building, Most of the time I didn't see the other residents unless I saw them on the stairs. If you need guidance or advice on any subject, Joseph, the owner is only too glad to help you but doesn't bombard you with offers of trips/excursions etc.
