Very Special Place

Pros: Me and my friend decided to stay at the Brown House for our trip to Luxor and we have 0 regrets. We chose to stay here because we heard how good Arafat and Yasser are at hosting and the reviews did not lie. Arafat and Yasser made the trip feel very special as they would invite us to BBQ's and meals, whilst also organising trips for us. It was great to spend time with them as you get to know them and live like proper Egyptians rather than just doing the tourist attractions. They do not overcharge you for stuff and are very down to earth, the apartment itself is spacious and well equipped, it has everything you need if you are planning on doing a trip to Luxor. Yes I would go back, I already miss Luxor.

Great place, great location, and nice neighborhood..

Pros: Nice area, close to boats and village. Nice rooms and well equiped kitchen.

Pros: Outstanding stay! Large apartment with enough Room for 4 or more people. Spotlessly clean. Close to the Nile River, restaurants and shops. As everyone says the service from the host is beyond excellent. Makes you feell like an honored guest. Wonderful, wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

A Great Place to Stay

Pros: The apartment is in a quiet street and is very spacious. Only a few minutes walk to minimarkets, good restaurants, and private boats that cross the Nile to the east side. Yasser is always available for advice or assistance and regularly checks that everything is OK. He invited me for a very good home cooked meal and a trip to his happy place in the desert for tea and coffee to watch the sun set.

Cons: Nothing, all was well.

Perfect

Pros: Very pleasant stay, amazing location to explore Luxor with the ferry close by and some bike rental shops as well. Yasser was very welcoming and ready to help every time I needed. The appartement was big, confortable and the terrace a lovely addition to that. Clean, AC working perfectly, kitchen and washing machine… I would for sure have the Brown house on top of my mind when I come back to Egypt.

Brown House was a Home away from Home

Pros: Host - Yasser was a fantastic host. He took very good care of our needs and provided all the logistical support in and around Luxor. He also invited us to his house for good home cooked meal and was always present when we needed him. Location - good location to restaurants and ferry terminal on the west bank Facilities - very good, apartment very clean with clean linen and towels. All appliances were in working order. Terrace - fabulous terrace overlooking the Nile river and the hot air balloons on the mountain side.

Cons: WiFi - was good but limited to hall room only

Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Brown house. Salah and Yasser were very welcoming and helpful. Very spacious room, clean and tidy. Well located for access to hot air balloons, the valley of the kings. The east bank is a short walk and ferry ride across the river.

Cons: Wifi connection can be unreliable as with most places in Egypt

Good base for the west bank

Pros: The photos give the correct impression of the apartment. It is an easy walk to nearby cafe and restaurants as well as the ferry to the east bank. The apartment is clean, spacious and well maintained. The owner lives in the UK and his brother helps to look after guests. I was impressed when he rang one evening to check that we were OK when we had stayed out late.

Perfect pit stop in Luxor and helpful host!

Pros: It was lovely! Comfortable bed, big room and great value for money. Definitely recommend :)
