Chalet at Stella Makadi Beach

Wonderful vacation!

Pros: The location was great! The apartment is really nearby the beach. The kitesurfing school is also only 5 minutes away. Next to the apartment there is a pool that can be used. Both rooms, living room and bedroom had air-conditioning, which was really great! The communication with Mary was great, and she organized our transfer to and from the airport and to the supermarket. We really enjoyed our stay!

Stylish and convenient value for money

Pros: You can have your own space away from the chaos of the resort, which for me is amazing, but still access the resort facilities if you like. The bed is very comfortable and the bedsheet very clean. The apartment is nicely decorated and everything works. The air conditioning especially works very well and it’s a plus in August hot weather. Considering we’re still talking about large resort distances, the beach is at a walkable distance. The reef is very well kept, but you have to swim a little further away than most tourists. Many dead zones but alternating to very colourful and lively ones. I wouldn’t recommend snorkelling just at the end of the jetty, but if you’re a good swimmer and manage to go further on (where the reef bends to the right) you’ll be amazed by the colours.

Cons: Although the rooms and the floors where very clean, it would seem like the cleaning was done “around”. If you moved the rugs some sand would come out, and I found some hairs in the shower. However, I discussed it with the manager who made sure it won’t happen again.

Cómodo para snorkel, playa y piscina

Pros: La ubicación, al lado de una playa que parece un acuario.

Cons: La dificultad de usar los restaurantes del complejo hotelero. Lo más práctico es comprarte la comida en el supermercado del resort vecino (Makadi Heights).
